Pencil Chair: This very special Pencil Chair is named "The Legs Don't Match Pencil Chair". For more detailed photos and description CLICK HERE Volkswagen Chair : New and old VWs. The painted tin seat pictures a new VW. The miniature cars are old style Beetles. There is a knob on the top front MA license plate to hang your car keys! I do have an old VW key which I will hang from this knob. There is "Number Box" under the red VW on the chair top front. The knob turns and the numbers change! Great chair. This chair is 36" tall at the back with a seat that measures about 16.5" x 16". Signed DV 2003 on the underside of the seat. Springtime Dot and Flower Button Chair: It's a beautiful weather here today so I took photos in front of the barn. My old, rusty horse insisted on getting in the picture! This is a great chair. It's actually an old oak T-back that I painted warm grey and added very light grey dots. All the dots are painted one at a time and each has its own personality. The seat is covered with my Dad's fabulous, hand painted buttons, with turquoise bead detail, surrounded by red, wood beads. This is truely a very happy chair. It measures about 39" tall at the back with seat measurements of 16.5" x 17.5". Signed DV 2005. Mickey in a Sea of Blue Dot Chair: I painted this vintage, wood chair a deep, warm grey and applied light grey dots. The seat is decorated with mostly blue and purple beads which are bordered by bright red, wood beads. The hand painted, blue buttons each have a wonderful representation of Mickey Mouse on them. They make me smile. I also did art on the underside of the seat. I will let this be a surprise for the new owner. Slight "Princess and the Pea" effect as the gloss finish is not as high as the beads in several spots. I got carried away with adding more beads as I was working. Still, completely "sitable" - just not perfectly flat. The chair measures 39" tall at the back with seat measurements of 18" x 14.5". Signed DV 05. Dot Fish Dot Chair: A bright and wonderful, hand painted dot fish is swimming in a sea of beads. The vintage wood chair has been painted white with light grey dots. The height at the chair back is 33". Seat measurements are 12.5" x 14.5". Signed DV 2005. Mickey and Friends Chair: This very special with great detail chair is quite large. It is 34" tall at the back and the seat measures 20.5" x 17.5". Note the wonderful cut out heart design on the chair back. One of my favorites. Signed DV 2002. Fish and Gold Buttons Chair: This very detailed chair is much nicer than the photos show. Sorry. The camera just doesn't like the brightness of the gold buttons and the variety of color from the detail work. The measurements are: 31.5" tall at the back, seat is a normal 18" from the floor, 15" x 14.5 seat. Actually a ladies side chair as it is bit smaller in appearance than most chairs. The hand painted wood, enamel and metal fish swim in an ocean of beads, gold buttons and pennies. Signed DV 2002. Millside Farms Pencil Chair: A whimsical chair that was inspired by my collection of Millside Farms wood rulers. I had a lot of fun with this one. This chair is 35" tall at the back. The seat measures 15" x 18". Signed DV 1.2004. Vintage Chair with Hand Painted Button and Dot Detail: This small chair is 28.5" tall at the back with seat measurements of 16" wide x 15 deep". Additional measurements: Floor to top of seat 17.5". Top of seat to top of back 11.5". The wood has been painted gloss black with grey dots. Each dot was applied one at a time with a brush. I decorated the seat with a collection of my Dad's hand painted buttons and tiny turquoise and black beads. The seat is quite flat as it has been treated with a high gloss acrylic. Several of the photos show the wonderful designs on each one of a kind button. Signed DV 2004. Child's Left Right Pencil Chair: This is a great little chair. Perfect for a child's room or an office waiting room. It is bold in design. The hand puzzle pieces and white on black numbers are surrounded by red, black and turquoise beads and bright yellow pencils. It measures 22" tall at the back with seat measurements of 11.5" deep and 13" wide. The high gloss finish makes this chair easy to clean. Signed DV 2004. Vintage Chair with Hand Painted Button Detail: This interesting, small chair is 27.5" tall at the back with seat measurements of 16" x 12.5". It is composed of a marriage of different woods. My guess would be mahogany, birch and oak. I have decorated the seat with a collection of my Dad's hand painted buttons, bright blue domed cabochons, tiny turquoise and black beads and gold glass tube beads. The seat is quite flat as it has been treated with a high gloss acrylic. Several of the photos show the wonderful designs on each one of a kind button. Signed DV 2004. Star, Indian and Jewel Book Table: This pine book table, as there is a place to display books between the legs, measures 21.5" high. The top measures 27" x 15". It is decorated with star conchos, copper Indians, jewels and beads. The top has been treated with a heavy gloss acrylic and is fairly flat. Some of the faceted jewel tops show just a bit. Signed DV 2004. Victorian Button and Jewel Side Table: This wonderful, old, curved leg table measures 18" tall with top measurements of 17.5" x 11'. Signed DV 2004. I decorated the top with a collection of my Dad's hand painted buttons. The last three photos show button detail. Bright copper and cobalt jewels are nestled in between the buttons. The high gloss finish makes the top quite flat. The walnut wood has been cleaned and waxed. Character areas add to the vintage charm. Signed DV 2004. Pencil Chairs: This "pair" of chairs would be perfect in a country kitchen. The pencils have been hand painted with delicate designs and their placement makes the chairs appear quilt like in design. Western Chair: This 38" tall chair has a western theme. It is decorated with horse shoes, cactus buttons, cowboy boots, arrowheads, conchos and stars. Signed: DV 98 |
