Acme Dual "6" Maple Chair: The seat of this vintage Maple chair is covered with some of my favorite "stuff". Lots of fun. Great reading. Even a Perfection stove advertisement. This chair is 36" tall at the back with seat measurements of 16" x 17.5". I have waxed the natural aged finish. Therefore, it still has great character. Signed DV 12-2003.
Maple Leaf Chair: This old painted, pressed back, oak chair is decorated with a vintage hand painted Maple leaf. The chair has its original paint. It is a golden antiqued color. The leaf came from an ice cream parlor where it was used for decoration. The colors on the leaf match the chair perfectly. There are lots of gold, green and hand painted buttons mixed with interesting beaded chain and jewels, surrounding the leaf and covering the seat. It's a great chair! Signed DV 2001 on the bottom.
Victorian Side Chair: The seat and outside area of the "hip hugger" arms have been decorated with jewels, hand painted buttons and brass leaves. I have left the original, old finish on the walnut. It has been oiled to protect the wood where the finish has worn. Great character. These "stick and ball" chairs are quite difficult to find. Therefore, this is the only one available! Signed DV 2000.
Whacky Whirligig Table: I love it but it is a bit whacky. All my favorite stuff! The red, white and blue wind wheel still turns while the fisherman fishes. The work is done on a vintage, wood table. It measures 28.5" tall with a about 15" square top. Signed DV 2004. Sorry, but this table is not shipable. The whirligig makes it to fragile.

Hail Mary Chair: This is my second Hail Mary, Mother of God Chair. The first one sold so quickly I don't even have photos of it!. Mary and Angels are set in mosaic tiles and bits and pieces of vintage costume jewelry. This old Maple chair is completely covered as the photos show. It stands 33" tall with seat measurements of 14" x 17". Signed DV 2004.
Fruit Chair: Obviously, Fruit Chairs attract birds! This is a fabulous bright and very interesting piece of art. Believe it or not, there is a vintage oak chair under all the objects. This completely covered chair measures 36" tall at the back with seat measurements of about 16" x 16.5". The fruit, large leaves and birds are made of wood which has been hand painted. The other objects are a variety of old enameled brass beads, jewelry bits and pieces, colorful hand dyed bone, hand painted pencils and buttons. Signed DV 12-2003.
Game Chair: A wonderful, bright and crazy chair covered with beads, hand painted pencils and vintage game pieces. Mounted to the seat is a colorful game board surrounded by mosaic work. In the first four photos, the sun reflected off the high gloss finish to distort the intense color. The detail shots of the seat are far more representative of what it actually looks like. The sixth photo is extremely large and shows true detail. This decorated, wood base chair measures 35" tall at the back with seat measurements of 18" wide x 15" deep. Signed DV 2004.
Vintage Watch Chair: The seat of this Victorian side chair is covered with vintage watch parts and jewels. I believe the wood is either Mahogany or Walnut but it is difficult to tell as the finish is very dark. I have applied a layer of clear Lucite over the seat to prevent the old parts from attacking the sitter! The chair measures 30" tall at the back with seat measurements of 14" x 16". Note that this is a small chair as the seat is only 15" from the floor. Signed DV 12 - 2003.
A Watched Chair: This fine, old chair is quite rare. It is solid oak with "rabbit ears", and a pressed flower design. I have decorated the seat with vintage watch parts. They are set down into the area that would have been caned. I have applied a heavy, clear acrylic layer which makes the seat almost flat for sitting. The art measures 9.25" x 8.75" within a 15" x 17.5" seat. This chair is quite tall - 41" to the tips of the rabbit ears. Signed DV 2004.
A Watched Table: This vintage Maple, side table measures 19" x 19" x 20.5" high. The watch dials, movements, jewels, beads and rhinestone buttons have been set into the top and finished with a high gloss acrylic. It is useable as the surface is level. That is amazing for me. Great jewel tones in these vintage parts and pieces. Signed DV 2004.
Vintage Button Chair: This lovely old chair has its seat decorated with bright, wonderful and interesting vintage buttons. The detail is both plastic and glass beads. The seat has been treated with a high gloss finish and it is almost completely flat! The chair does have some original character scuffs. I have cleaned and waxed the surface. This chair measures 38" tall at the back with seat measurements of 14.75" x 18.25". Signed DV 2004.
Electric Game Chair: This large chair is covered with wonderful hand painted pencils, chain, beads and vintage game pieces including ivory MahJong tiles. On the back there is an old electric switch which I had been saving for years. This switch still clicks on and off. Fun. It is 33" tall with a seat measuring about 14" x 17.5". Signed DV 2002.
Leaf and Cactus Pencil Chair: This colorful, 34" tall chair is signed DV 2000.
Cameo and Fruit Pencil Chair: This colorful, 36" tall chair is signed DV 2000.
The Phoenix Pencil Chair: This fine chair got its name from the original label that is still on the underside of the seat. See the last two photos. I can not guarantee that the label will stay attached as it is very old and fragile.
The chair itself is special because of the design. I have never seen bottom rungs attached at an angle before this. You can see this detail in the first row of photos.
The Phoenix Pencil Chair is decorated with colorful hand painted pencils and buttons. The seat has red, white and blue pottery shards separated with beaded brass chain. The chair measures 33.25" tall at the highest point of the back. The seat measures 17" x 15.5". Signed DV 2001 on the bottom. It's a great chair. Bright and cheerful.
Vintage Jewelry Chair: This petite chair is covered with vintage jewelry, chain, beads and baubles. The glitter of the crystal and glass stones and bright silver and gold metal made it difficult to photo. You can best understand the work on this chair by viewing the detail photos. It is far nicer than the photos show.
The chair measures 30.5" tall at the back. The seat is 13.5" square.
Signed DV 2002 on the seat underside.
Rooster and Chicken Chair: A wonderful chair covered with roosters, chickens, Bakelite silverware, old pottery shards, beads, etc. The rooster on the seat is an old, hand painted tin, folk art decoration. It is 34" tall at the back with a seat that measures 17.5" x 16.5". Great in any kitchen. Signed DV 2002.
The Lobster Chair: This chair was inspired by the bright colorful wood lobsters and odd aqua aluminum strips that look like waves. The wood lobsters are climbing up the legs and resting on the back in a sea of beads. The edge of the blue button seat is trimmed in red metal lobsters with blue chain ocean. A perfect Cape Cod Chair!
Rose Garden Chair: This was a difficult chair to photo. The protective high gloss finish made the camera a bit crazy. I did my best. The seat center is a vintage oil painting by Ethel Higginbotham. I just love it and did the chair to "match". This vintage, wood chair stands 38" tall at the back with seat measurements of 14.5" x 18.5". The details include enamel chain, beads, leaves, rhinestone, jeweled jewelry pieces, ceramic flowers, etc. The chair back has English wood roses nestled in jewels and beads. Signed DV 2006.
Blue Hen Chair: A vintage Maple chair decorated with hand made, folky blue hens, beads and game pieces. It is 34" tall at the back with seat measurements of 16" x 14.25". The seat has been treated with a heavy gloss finish to protect it and you. It is this finish that caused reflection areas and slight distortion in the photos. Signed DV 2004.
Shabby Chic Deep Aqua Princess Chair: I bought this wonderful old, painted aqua, wood chair from my friend, Phyllis. I just had to have it. Beautiful color and unusual shape. It inspired a Princess theme with gold and silver crowns set in crystal and beads. A few hanging baubles make it even more fun. It stands 36" tall at the back with seat measurements of 15" x 14". Signed DV 2005.
Vintage Watch Chair: A very unusual chair. Gentle in design. The photos should give you an idea of what I mean. Just lovely. I left all the original patina on the wood except for the seat as I wanted to "frame" my vintage watch assemblage. This chair measures 35" at the back with seat measurements of 14" x 15.5". Signed DV 2005.
Vintage Mahogany Button Chair: This chair stands 35" tall at the back with seat measurements of 15.5" deep x 20" wide. Note the carved wood flower detail on the back. The high gloss seat is decorated with my Dad's hand painted buttons. The original mahogany finish has been cleaned and waxed. Character areas add to the vintage charm. Signed DV 2004.
Very Bright Flower and Flower Button Chair: This fine, old mahogany chair has a brightly decorated seat. The colors pop out from the surrounding dark wood. The original finish has been cleaned and waxed. This chair stands 35" tall at the back with seat measurements of 15.5" deep x 20" wide. Note the carved wood flower detail on the back. The high gloss seat is decorated with my Dad's hand painted, red flower buttons which are set in turquoise beads and framed with bright red beads. Signed DV 2005.
